Big McLargeHuge!
I am 22 today. I already knew that after 21 I would have nothing left to look forward to. I asked my 26 year old sister for confirmation.
ALICIA: Oh yeah, now all you can look forward to is the grave.
Thanks, sister. You certainly know how to alleviate someone's fears. Hoping to have a nice, quiet, relaxing day with the boyfriend. Also, how did I go through the '90s without ever watching Mystery Science Theater 3000? Clockwork made me watch the Space Mutiny episode. So much hilarity in one sitting. Who knew that watching really bad movies could be so much fun?

Fuckin' Wiz
(while watching The Wizard of Oz)
CLOCKWORK: He's a wizard! Don't they think he has better things to do than meet with this ragtag team of misfits? You got a lion with a perm, a tin can with a drinking problem, and a petty thief! Shoe stealer...

* Birthday WishList *

Digs from Urban Outfitters.
I don't wear watches often, but this Betsey Johnson one is so cute.
The Fuji Instax Mini is an adorable little camera that takes adorable little credit card sized photos. It's like a more portable Polaroid camera. ME LIKEY (I want the brown one.)
A subscription to VenusZine,
the new Chuck Klosterman,
& A Very Awesome Book (i like feeling like I'm 12 sometimes.)
So yeah, I spent a majority of this day online window shopping....

this only happens when i'm super bored...
1. Where is your cell phone: nearby.
2. Your hair: is too damn long.
3. Your mother: is insane.
4. Your father: is less insane.
5. Your favorite food: it's soooo hard to pick just one! But I do tend to crave Korean food when I've gone without it...
6. Your dream from last night:
Clockwork apparently shaved his head, only it obviously was not him...just some short, pudgy, bald guy that I forced myself to like because I thought he was my boyfriend...
7. Your favorite alcoholic drink:
Cubalibres (rum & coke) and Blue Moon.
8. Your dream/goal:
So many....ultimately I'd like to work in art/design/writing.
9. What room are you in: my bedroom.
10. What is your hobby:
Lately I've been getting into crafty things...knitting, crochet, sewing...
11. What is your fear: clowns :(
12. Where were you last night:
This week has been unbelievably boring, as I have been stuck in this lame town.
13. Something you are not: Motivated :/ I'm working on it...
14. Muffins: should always be blueberry.
15. Wish list items:
Right now? A car, a camera, long boots, black skinny jeans, feather hair accessories, lots of yarn, felt, needles/thread, new paint brushes, various sized canvases...
16. Where did you grow up:
South Korea, Chicago, and then various places in Ohio.
17. Last thing you did: watched Futurama.
18. What are you wearing: a bathrobe (I'm sick...I think I have the black lung *feeble cough*)
19. Your TV: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
20. Your pets: Zeppy.
and I've momentarily adopted my dad's dog, Lucy.
21. Your life: is somewhat dismal at the moment.

23. Your friends: are cute and I miss them :(
24. Vehicle: feet?
25. Something you’re not wearing: socks.
26. Your favorite store: Rag-O-Rama.
It's usually pretty hit or miss (depending on what you can find), but when it hits, it hits big. And cheap.
27. Your favorite color: right now I am loving all the fall colors...yellows, oranges, reds, purples in particular...
28. When’s the last time you laughed: earlier today.
29. When’s the last time you cried: erm...
30. Missing someone: always...
31. Your best friend: ^ :)
32. One place you go over and over:
I don't really have any regular haunts around here. Maybe Hobby Lobby.
33. One person who emails me regularly:
I don't use email all that often. Of any regular contacts I'd say my sister on Facebook, and maybe Ruben on Twitter.
34. Favorite place to go: Bodega. It's been far too long since I've gone there for $1 grilled cheese Monday.
35. Where do you want to be in 6 years:
Successful and happy with this guy :)

The Sounds ft. Foxy Shazam
So the show was AMAZING, as expected. We were convinced that the opening band, Foxy Shazam, was on speed. I've never seen a more energetic and all around nutsy band. And the lead singer looked/sounded like Freddie Mercury. It was so weird. And pretty much awesome.

Some crazy Foxy Shazam antics include: the guitarist spinning his guitar around so that I feared it would fly off stage and hit me in the face, the piano player standing on top of his keyboard and smashing down on the keys, the trumpeter lying on the ground convulsing as he played, and the lead singer crawling around the stage doing flips and headstands, jumping into the air on the shoulders of the guitar player, drop kicking the mic a million times, throwing water at everyone, stage diving twice in a row, and finally lighting 3 cigarettes, chewing them up, and spitting them at the crowd. At one point they just threw the guitar at the crowd and the audience played.
It was fucking EPIC.
I was afraid Foxy Shazam would be hard to follow, and while their antics weren't nearly as rambunctious, The Sounds still totally killed it.

We were so close to the stage (pit, second row) Maja Ivarsson fist bumped my sister. It was cause for way too much excitement. The only annoying part about the night were the people in the front row who didn't even seem to be fans of the band and got annoyed when people would rock out too hard. I kept thinking, "This is a rock concert! Not the bleedin...Splish Splash show." All in all, it was definitely worth the trip.
xoxo

.halloween.
My weekend was a blast! We got caught in the rain (which turned out pretty fun), lazed at Clockwork's uncle's house (potato soup + Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas = cozy trippy fun time), partied in Athens (I saw Day/Night/Green Man, AND Charlie in all his crotchy, stretchy, pantsy glory), and topped the weekend off with Zombieland ("That'll do, Pig. That'll do.")

(Velma Kelly & Sweeney Todd)
I thought Clockwork's costume turned out amazing. He looked exactly like him. Most of the time, though, people would yell "Johnny Depp!", "Edward Scissorhands!", or (my favorite) "That barber...the barber of Seville!"
And tomorrow my sister and I will be on a road trip to see The Sounds in Cincinnati. November is starting out pretty kick a :) :)
